• Learning progress data: your selected difficulty level, completed scenes, daily points, streaks, answers, and mistake reports — used to run features such as progress tracking and the leaderboard.
• Device and usage information: device type, operating system, app version, language settings, and anonymous usage statistics that help us improve the app.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide and improve the Vilmo service: personalising scene difficulty to your level, saving your progress across devices, ranking you on the leaderboard under your chosen display name, responding to support requests, and understanding how the app is used so we can make it better.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your learning data for advertising. Leaderboards show only your display name and points — never your email address.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us operate the app (such as cloud hosting and crash reporting), under contracts that limit their use of it, or when required by law. Downloads through the Apple App Store or Google Play are also subject to those stores' own privacy policies.

Data retention

We keep your account and progress data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us; we will delete it within 30 days except where the law requires us to keep it longer.

Children

Vilmo is designed for general audiences learning English. If you believe a child has provided us personal information without a parent's consent, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data appropriately.

Your rights
